The sun is back out but it is cold and the cold from the deep ice is now chilling even Defiance. I can still hear the occasional crunch telling me hw far down it has frozen and it is now frozen to the floorboards making keeping heat even more difficult. This is when the Espar is critical as it allows me to break the deep cold that creeps into the deep recesses of the boat threatening my water tanks and plumbing.

It will have to be a short update as I have more medical this morning and am glad that something is happening. I have another little project that will if all goes well gain back a bit of cash flow but can see where this summer is going to pose a real trick as the marina will pass from practical.

Wednesday blizzard or no it was pick up passport day in Toronto so I was off bright and early snow or no snow for the great Canadian chase. After a challenging drive to Toronto punctuated by white outs and dodging accidents the day improved drastically. When I arrived to pick up my passport it was ready and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. This however was a great Canadian success story and Passport Canada should be given kudos for prompt courteous service. The snow has drifted in sobadlyy that the dock iscompletelyy drifted over.

I hung out with a friend I had not seen for a while and slowly made my way back to Quinte. Loyalist had cancelled all classes so I got to dig out before 23:00 which made life a lot easier.

On the way back the 401 was still messy so I stopped by a few of the winter harbors to see ho life was doing. There were not a lot of people out and about, and I on a time frame. I had wanted to catch up with Don who is having deicer problems in Whitby but no luck. The swans are all nestled into their snowy beds and everywhere I went on the mooch for bread. Frenchman bay is by far the most populated and a great live aboard community. Newcastle no longer allows in the water storage.
